Stand With Us Against the Wildfires!

United Way of Northern BC has initiated an Urgent Response Fund to help with the response and recovery due to the wildfires in Northern BC, raising funds that will address important social needs within wildfire affected communities.

United Way is in a unique position as we have connections throughout the region that allow us to respond to the needs as they arise from our “on the ground” community partners. In addition, we are collaborating with local response to ensure we are working cohesively and effectively alongside other resources and supports.

Help us bring together the power of many and donate today to the United Way of Northern BC’s Urgent Response Fund.

Answer the Call: Volunteer for Wildfire Relief

Volunteer support is critical in times of crisis and we’re working with our networks to find potential volunteers to mobilize as soon as they are needed. There are various reasons volunteers are needed in urgent response and recovery circumstances. Whether it be helping ensure a service agency can continue to provide support to an influx of new clients due to evacuations, or helping at an organized emergency services centre, or lending a hand when people return to their home community, there’s sure to be a volunteer opportunity that everyone can help with.

Help us be ready to enable supports where they are needed, when they are needed. Sign up using the form below to be a volunteer today.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for response and recovery due to wildfires in Northern BC. Please fill out the following form to the best of your ability. If more information is required, someone with the UWNBC team will reach out.

NOTE: we are collecting this information to ensure that volunteers are at-the-ready so there is little delay in getting support to where it’s needed, when it’s needed. The hope is that the wildfires will have little affect and volunteers won’t be needed, but it’s a comfort to communities to know that help is waiting should the worst occur.

Again, thank you for lending yourself to the cause and we will be in touch!
