UNITED WAY TREE OF LIGHTS IS COMING BACK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
United Way of Northern BC (UWNBC) is ramping up the preparations to bring the Tree of Lights back this holiday season.
UWNBC is thrilled to announce the United Way Tree of Lights is coming back this holiday season. In the past few weeks, the United Way team has been working hard to connect with our partners to make sure that Prince George’s long-standing holiday tradition comes back again this year to bring a light of hope and joy during this challenging and unprecedented time.
On November 12th, 2021, at noon, a tree that will be approximately 60ft long and symbolizes hope, joy, and happiness will be hoisted once again atop the Coast Prince George Hotel by APA in downtown Prince George. This local community tradition will again inspire people to get past the darkness and difficulties brought upon us by the pandemic and instill a ray of hope, joy, and happiness among the residents of Prince George.

“We are so thrilled to be able to bring the Tree of Lights back to Prince George once again this year! Our vision for this year’s campaign is “joy” in all its ways and connecting the community together to make a truly meaningful impact in this amazing place we call home. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks,” says Trista Spencer, Executive Director, UWNBC.”
“We’d also like to thank the incredible people and organizations that make all of this happen – from finding the tree to securing it on the roof, hosting the tree and all that comes with it, we truly couldn’t even get to the starting point without these people coming forward: Warmac Ventures, King Pine Contracting, Sterling Crane, and of course, our host, the Coast Hotel Prince George by APA. Thank you!”
