Effective Monday, March 9, 2020, United Way of Northern British Columbia is now accepting applications for funding through our Community Investment and Impact Program (CIIP).
United Way helps to identify gaps in services in northern communities and be a community connector to bring people and organizations together for collective impact.
These efforts positively affect the lives of 1 in 3 people in Northern BC. Last year the Community Investment and Impact Program provided funding to 51 programs in 16 communities, including regionally run programs such as bc211.ca and the Crisis Prevention and Intervention Centre for Northern BC.
Funding is available for programs that fall under United Way’s 3 pillars: From Poverty to Possibility, Healthy People – Strong Communities, and All That Kids Can Be. Resources are invested where they are needed the most and where they will have the most impact.
Applications are due by noon on April 30, 2020, for the funding period of October 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021. More information can be found here:
United Way can provide funding to local agencies due to the generosity of individuals, small-medium size businesses, corporations, event proceeds, and other campaign activities in Northern BC. We are grateful for the commitment that the people of Northern BC have made to improve their communities and we are continually humbled by the selection of our agency for these thoughtful donations that bring help to those that need it most. We are committed to keeping donations local to where they are
