SHARE A GIFT OF WARMTH TO SUPPORT THE VULNERABLE PRINCE GEORGE RESIDENTS DURING THE WINTER MONTHS!

From October 14th – October 16th, between 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, the staff and volunteers from United Way of Northern BC (UWNBC) will be at KMS Tools & Equipment at 101 Queensway in Prince George for a fundraising BBQ. This month is extra special as people can not just make a financial contribution but also donate winter clothing item(s) or non-perishable food item(s) to get a smokie.

The days are getting colder, and the global pandemic is still not over. Therefore, the need to be UNITED is more important than ever. We all must strive to strengthen our bonds with the community in which we live and support those who are in need and don’t have the means to help themselves otherwise.

To help bring the much-needed support to those in need, UWNBC will be serving smokies and will be accepting a financial donation, winter clothing items, or non-perishable food items. If you are able to, please consider donating new or gently used clothing items for cold and wet weather, such as socks, gloves, jackets, scarves, and toques, or donate non-perishable food item(s) and help us bring some warmth to those in need in Prince George.

“While the days get colder, and the wind picks up, we are reminded of those who are less fortunate and in need with the change in seasons. So, in light of helping where it’s needed most and making sure that we meet our mission to connect resources with local need, we are accepting outdoor clothing, socks, and non-perishable food in addition to monetary donations, at this month’s KMS Tools BBQ event. We hope that the people of PG will once again come forward to help make sure that everyone has what they need to live, to stay warm, and to be cared for as we move into a season that affects some more than others.” Says Trista Spencer, Executive Director, United Way of Northern BC.

Please come to KMS Tools & Equipment on October 14th, 15th or 16th and get your smokie and pop by donation to help us support the vulnerable in Prince George.
