Donated Office Supplies Help Seven Non-profits

A large donation of office supplies; 7 desks, 6 filing cabinets, 6 chairs, 3 whiteboards, and 2 shelves were recently donated by 3 Fort St John companies, HSE Integrated Services, Fraction Energy Services Ltd. and Urban Systems who contacted United Way of Northern BC to help distribute these items through United Way’s Making Connections Initiative.

Making Connections in Hudson’s Hope

The River of the Peace Metis Society in Hudson’s Hope have been the recipients of a printer that the Peace River Hydro Partners wanted to pass on through the United Way of Northern BC Making Connections Initiative.

The Peace Metis Society in Hudson’s Hope just opened their office in Hudson’s Hope to assist Metis people  in the area to reach their potential in education, housing, health and finance. The donation of a printer is greatly appreciated. Valerie Paice, Chairperson of the Society, is pictured with the printer.

Progress Energy donates to local non-profits via UWNBC’s Making Connections Initiative

Staff from Progress Energy’s Fort St John office contacted United Way this week because they wanted to donate much needed items to local non-profits though United Way’s Making Connections Initiative. This initiative links businesses with new or used resources like furniture, technology and office supplies to non-profits in need.

Through UWNBC’s Making Connections Initiative, Progress Energy donated 60 double sheet sets, 60 double comforters and 60 pillows to the Fort St John’s Women’s Resource Society, and 60 full towel sets (bath, hand and face) to the Fort St John Salvation Army Shelter.
