COVID-19 RESOURCE PACKAGE

It has been more than a year of living in the pandemic. People have now become tired of it, tired of taking the safety measures – wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, using hand sanitizers, etc. BUT remember, the pandemic is NOT OVER YET, and we should not let our guard down! The daily cases in BC are again growing at a rate never seen before. Now more than ever, we need to adhere to the safety measures and the instructions of our Public Health Officer.
We all are longing for the day when we don’t have to wear masks in public and gather with family and friends again. But we have to understand that the current preventive measures are for our own safety. Even after getting vaccinated, there are some critical points that we should all remember. It will take about two weeks after getting the first dose to build immunity to the virus. If you are exposed to someone with COVID-19 before or during this time, you may not yet be fully protected, so you can still get COVID-19.
To promote safety and awareness about the care required after vaccination, we have updated UWNBC COVID-19 Resource Package with information on what to expect once you are vaccinated. Click the link below to read this package and share it with your colleagues, friends and families.
