The United Way is a volunteer-driven organization that relies heavily on volunteer involvement, expertise and support to achieve our mandate. We are grateful to our volunteers for their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to making the United Way of Northern British Columbia an effective and efficient regional community impact organization. Our mission is to improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. Our promise to you is to invest resources where they are needed the most and where they will have the most impact to the most people. Our efforts positively affect the lives of 1 in 3 individuals in northern British Columbia. 90 cents of every dollar donated is reinvested into programs and services helping your friends, relatives and neighbours throughout the region.

What is United Way of Northern BC about?
We are committed to achieving community change – focusing on addressing underlying causes, strengthening the community network of services and capacity of non-profits, influencing public attitudes, systems and policy, and engaging community dollars, influence, time and knowledge. We are committed to our many partnerships, programs and initiatives (by focus area: All That Kids Can Be, Healthy People Strong Communities, From Poverty To Possibility) we work with each year as we strive to bring about positive, long term, sustainable change
